Description

Delightful rolls of flaky pastry filled with light and airy vanilla cream, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Puff Pastry or Phyllo Dough
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • A pinch of Salt
  • Powdered Sugar for Dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry or phyllo dough and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  3. Bake the strips until golden brown for 15–20 minutes, then let cool on a wire rack.
  4. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Mix sugar, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and salt in another bowl, then gently fold into the whipped cream.
  6. Fill the cooled pastry rolls with the cream mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the pastry and storing it in the fridge. For a chocolate version, add cocoa powder to the cream.
