Description
A delightful and customizable smash burger bowl featuring juicy beef patties, fresh vegetables, and decadent toppings, offering a satisfying comfort food experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded (iceberg or romaine)
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup cheese, shredded (optional)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat—wait until it’s gloriously hot.
- Shape your ground beef into a ball without overworking it (about the size of a tennis ball).
- Place the beef ball onto the hot skillet and, using your spatula, firmly flatten it until it’s about half an inch thick. Don’t forget to season generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear the burger for about 3-4 minutes until the edges turn a rich brown.
- Flip it over and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. Tip: Use the spatula to press down again lightly for maximum caramelization.
- In a serving bowl, layer the shredded lettuce as a satisfying base.
- Once the beef is cooked to your liking, place it atop the lettuce.
- Next, elegantly add diced tomatoes, sliced red onions, and pickles, creating a colorful symphony on your bowl.
- Finally, drizzle generous amounts of mayonnaise and mustard, and sprinkle with cheese if desired.
- Serve immediately, inviting everyone to dig in and enjoy!
