- 1 package of puff pastry
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: extra powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.
- Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square and layer sliced strawberries on top.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the cream cheese filling a day in advance. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
