Description

A comforting fusion of Mexican flavors and Italian lasagna, layered with ground beef, refried beans, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 Corn Tortillas
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 can Refried Beans
  • 1 cup Taco Sauce
  • 2 cups Cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack mix)
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until browned. Stir in cumin and chili powder.
  3. Layer the ingredients in a baking dish, starting with taco sauce, followed by tortillas, beef, refried beans, and cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
  4. Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Customize with different cheeses, add sautéed peppers for extra flavor, or use turkey for a lighter option.
