  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Arrange frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or air fryer basket.
  3. Bake until golden brown, usually around 20-25 minutes.
  4. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Whisk in the flour until a paste forms, cooking for about 2 minutes.
  6. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
  7. Stir in salt, ground white pepper, ranch seasoning, and a sprinkle of cayenne.
  8. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes, then stir in shredded cheese until creamy.
  9. Pour the cheese sauce over your cooked fries and serve warm.
