Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives or parsley, chopped
  • 1 pie crust, store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté diced onions and minced garlic until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk eggs in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fold the cooked onions into the egg mixture along with cheese and herbs.
  5. Roll out the pastry dough and press it into a greased pie dish.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the prepared crust.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
