Description
Savory ground beef wrapped in warm tortillas, topped with cheese, guacamole, and sour cream, creating a delightful hand-held meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the beef: Heat your non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. With a spatula, break it apart, allowing it to brown evenly for about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Sauté vegetables: Incorporate the chopped onions and minced garlic into the skillet, cooking until softened and fragrant—about 3–4 minutes.
- Add spices: Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly for another 2 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas: Slightly warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until they’re pliable.
- Assemble the tortillas: Spread the beef mixture down the center of each tortilla and top with shredded cheese, guacamole, and sour cream.
- Roll and serve: Carefully roll each tortilla tightly and serve immediately.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare the beef mixture ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to three days. For a unique twist, use an air fryer or oven to bake assembled tortillas.
