Description

Thick slabs of cauliflower roasted until golden and crispy, topped with creamy cheese and garlic for a flavorful vegetarian delight.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and slice it into 1-inch thick steaks.
  3. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle generously with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place the seasoned steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of each steak.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

Great served as a side dish with grilled meats or on its own as a vegetarian main. Make ahead and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day before roasting.
