- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and slice it into 1-inch thick steaks.
- Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with olive oil.
- Sprinkle generously with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the seasoned steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of each steak.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
Great served as a side dish with grilled meats or on its own as a vegetarian main. Make ahead and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day before roasting.
