- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil mix)
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
- Optional: pizza sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Layer the sliced pepperoni on top of the cheese, then sprinkle the dried Italian herbs over everything.
- Begin rolling the pastry tightly into a log, starting from one of the long edges.
- Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice the log into 1-inch pieces.
- Brush the tops of each roll with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, or until the pastry turns golden brown.
- Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping if desired.
Notes
Keep puff pastry cold until ready to use for optimal flakiness. Prepare the rolls in advance and store unbaked in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
