Description
Indulge in a plate of creamy salmon pasta, where heavy cream wraps around perfectly cooked pasta, bringing the delicate flavors of garlic and fresh spinach to life.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 fillets of salmon
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your chosen pasta and cook until al dente. Drain it, then return it to the pot, drizzling a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Sear the Salmon: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes, until the skin becomes golden. Flip the fillets and cook for another 4–5 minutes until the salmon flakes. Remove and flake the salmon into bite-sized pieces.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until aromatic.
- Prepare the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and simmer, stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes.
- Add Spinach: Stir in the fresh spinach and wilt for a minute or two.
- Incorporate the Salmon: Fold in the flaked salmon into the creamy sauce.
- Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together.
- Serve and Enjoy: Dish out the creamy salmon pasta while piping hot and top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using half-and-half or unsweetened coconut cream. For smoky flavor, use an air fryer for the salmon.
