Description
A comforting creamy high-protein beef pasta dish that blends the heartiness of beef with a rich, velvety sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 8 ounces Pasta (fettuccine, penne, or whole grain)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream or Milk
- 1 cup Cheese (Parmesan or cheddar)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Optional Vegetables (spinach, bell peppers, or broccoli)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Brown the Beef: Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the lean ground beef and cook until it’s beautifully browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as you go, about 6-8 minutes.
- Infuse with Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and stir for an additional minute, allowing its fragrance to fill your kitchen.
- Create the Sauce: Lower the heat, and pour in the heavy cream or milk. Stir gently, bringing everything together. Sprinkle in the cheese, stirring continuously until it melts into a velvety sauce.
- Combine: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly in your creamy sauce. If you’re using optional vegetables, fold them in now, seasoning everything with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve: Spoon generous portions onto plates and garnish with extra cheese, if desired. Enjoy your meal!
Notes
For make-ahead tips, cook the ground beef in advance and store in the fridge. Customize with fresh herbs or different cheeses for unique flavors.
