Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and half of the cinnamon and sugar.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a generous pat of butter.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated well.
- Place the coated bread in the skillet, cooking until golden brown—about 2-3 minutes per side.
- In a separate bowl, mix the remaining cinnamon and sugar.
- Once cooked, immediately cover the French toast with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve with whipped cream, maple syrup, and fresh fruit.
Notes
Prepare the egg mixture the night before for convenience. You can also air fry or bake the French toast for a lighter version.
