- 200g kunafa dough
- 100g melted butter
- 150g ground pistachios
- 200g dark chocolate
- 100g sugar
- 250ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Pour the melted butter over the kunafa dough and mix until each strand is coated.
- Spread half of the buttered kunafa mixture into a greased baking dish, pressing it down.
- Combine ground pistachios and sugar in another bowl, then sprinkle over the first kunafa layer.
- Melt dark chocolate with milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan over low heat.
- Pour half of the chocolate mixture over the pistachio layer.
- Add the remaining kunafa mixture and press down gently.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle the remaining chocolate mixture over the baked kunafa before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the kunafa layers a day in advance and store them in the refrigerator. Consider pairing with cardamom tea or vanilla ice cream for an enhanced experience.
