  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or rotini)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shredded chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir and warm through for about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, half of the Parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese in a spacious mixing bowl. Stir well.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken to the pasta mixture and fold gently to mix evenly.
  5. Pour the casserole mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
