- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 4 hamburger buns
- BBQ sauce to drizzle
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, season lightly with salt and pepper, and allow them to caramelize, stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes.
- Shape the ground beef into four equal patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the patties on medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side. During the last minute, add cheese slices on top to melt.
- Assemble the burger by placing a patty on a bun, adding caramelized onions, drizzling BBQ sauce, and topping with the other half of the bun.
- Serve your burgers with your favorite sides and enjoy!
