  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the Olive Oil: In a large skillet, pour in the olive oil over medium heat. The moment it shimmers, it’s time to add those fragrant garlic notes.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté it for about 1-2 minutes until it turns golden and fragrant.
  4. Add Chickpeas and Broccoli: Toss the rinsed chickpeas and broccoli florets into the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Mix in the Pasta: Gently fold in the cooked pasta. Mix well, allowing all the flavors to marry.
  6. Serve Warm: Dish it out while it’s warm, adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if you wish.

Notes
