- 8 oz white chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 cup cocoa powder or crushed nuts for coating
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, combine chopped white chocolate and heavy cream. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth and fully melted.
- Combine Ingredients: Once melted, remove the bowl from the microwave. Stir in the tequila, fresh orange juice, and orange zest until the mixture is completely combined.
- Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until it’s firm enough to scoop.
- Shape the Truffles: Use a cookie scoop to scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls using your hands.
- Coat the Truffles: Roll each ball in cocoa powder or crushed nuts to coat.
- Chill Again: Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill until ready to serve.
Notes
