Description

A delightful and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken coated in a savory sauce with bell peppers and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces. Let them sear without moving them for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Brown the chicken: Once browned, remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a plate.
  3. Sauté the aromatics: In the same skillet, add the diced onion, sliced bell pepper, and minced garlic. Stir frequently for about 3-4 minutes, until tender.
  4. Add chicken back: Return the chicken to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, ground black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir to coat.
  5. Let it simmer: Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Serve hot over rice or with steamed veggies.
