- 8 oz macaroni pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
- Brown the ground beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat.
- Combine the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled macaroni, ground beef, diced pickles, tomatoes, onions, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese.
- Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Dress the pasta salad: Pour the dressing over your pasta mixture, and gently toss until everything is thoroughly combined.
- Chill and serve: Cover the salad and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
