A gourmet twist on a classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring sweet apple butter and creamy brie cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread (sourdough or whole grain)
- 2 tablespoons apple butter
- 2 ounces brie cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread apple butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place brie cheese on top of the apple butter on one slice.
- Top with the other slice of bread, apple butter side down.
- Spread butter on the outside of the sandwich.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a healthier approach, substitute butter with olive oil. You can also customize with caramelized onions or fresh arugula.
