Description
Delightful Thai Basil Beef Rolls featuring seasoned beef, fresh vegetables, and fragrant basil wrapped in delicate rice paper.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups fresh Thai basil leaves
- 1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 package rice paper wrappers
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently until it is nicely browned (about 5 minutes).
- Add the soy sauce and sliced bell peppers, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to soften the peppers.
- Remove from heat and fold in the fresh Thai basil, allowing it to wilt slightly.
- Soak a rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 10-15 seconds until pliable.
- Assemble by laying the softened wrapper on a clean surface and spooning a small amount of the beef mixture onto the lower third.
- Roll the wrapper tightly from bottom to top, folding in the sides as you go.
- Cook the rolls in the skillet with a little oil, seam-side down, until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. You can also add shredded carrots or cucumber for extra crunch.
