Sorrel is a refreshing hibiscus drink known for its vibrant color and numerous health benefits.
Ingredients

- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers under cold water.
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the rinsed hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the mixture to remove the flowers.
- Add sugar, ginger, and vanilla extract to the strained liquid and stir until dissolved.
- Let the drink cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice and enjoy!
