  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers under cold water.
  2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add the rinsed hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.
  4. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and strain the mixture to remove the flowers.
  6. Add sugar, ginger, and vanilla extract to the strained liquid and stir until dissolved.
  7. Let the drink cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  8. Serve over ice and enjoy!
