Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, beef broth, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Place the beef chuck roast into the slow cooker and pour the prepared sauce over it.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once the cooking time is up, shred the beef into bite-sized pieces in the pot.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh green onions.
Notes
Make the sauce ahead of time for deeper flavor. You can also add vegetables or serve in lettuce wraps for added crunch.
