Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, beef broth, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Place the beef chuck roast into the slow cooker and pour the prepared sauce over it.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. Once the cooking time is up, shred the beef into bite-sized pieces in the pot.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with fresh green onions.

Notes

Make the sauce ahead of time for deeper flavor. You can also add vegetables or serve in lettuce wraps for added crunch.
