Ingredients

- 8 slices of bread (sourdough or white)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (red, yellow, or green)
- 1/2 cup onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Generously butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
- Layer mozzarella, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and pizza sauce on the bread.
- Top with another slice of bread, butter side up.
- Cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 3–4 minutes.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese has melted, about another 3–4 minutes.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
