- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat together the powdered sugar, milk, and peppermint extract until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and cut into squares.
Notes
- For a stronger peppermint flavor, increase the amount of peppermint extract.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
