Description

A delicious twist on the classic patty melt, featuring juicy beef patties and melted cheese served on garlic herb toasted sourdough bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into two patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
  3. While the patties are cooking, mix the butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
  4. Spread the garlic herb butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  5. Once the patties are done, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  6. In another skillet, toast the sourdough bread, buttered side down, until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the patty melt by placing the cheesy patty between two slices of toasted sourdough.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

  • Feel free to add sautéed onions or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
