- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped bacon, marinara sauce, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef; stir to combine.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of the meat mixture, followed by a layer of ricotta cheese, and then a layer of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
