Ingredients

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are soft.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder and onion powder, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. Add the rinsed rice to the pot and stir to combine.
  6. Pour in the water and soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
  8. Cook for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
