Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the CrockPot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ranch dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the CrockPot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
  7. Serve over rice, pasta, or with vegetables.

  • For a spicier version, add some hot sauce to the mixture.
