Description

Maple Donut Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that combines the flavors of maple syrup and donuts in a bar form, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, and maple syrup to the mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. While the bars are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl until smooth.
  9. Once the bars are done, let them cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars and let it set before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark maple syrup.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Feel free to add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter for extra texture.
