- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry the fresh basil leaves.
- In a blender, combine basil, lemon juice, and sugar; blend until smooth.
- Strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl.
- Stir in water and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Churn in an ice cream maker or freeze in a shallow dish, stirring every 30 minutes for the first few hours.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
- Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.
