Description

Lebanese Arayes are delicious meat-stuffed pitas that are grilled to perfection, offering a flavorful and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef or lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • Olive oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Cut each pita bread in half to create pockets.
  4. Stuff each pita half with the meat mixture, pressing down gently to ensure they are filled.
  5. Brush the outside of the stuffed pitas with olive oil.
  6. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  7. Grill the stuffed pitas for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and the pita is crispy.
  8. Remove from the grill and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with tahini sauce or yogurt for dipping.
