  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp flour (gluten-free alternative available)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 garlic cloves (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 tbsp cold unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Finely chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and toss in a mixture of cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat and add chicken in a single layer; cook undisturbed for 8 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 8 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken and add sliced garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant for about 1 minute.
  4. Lower the heat, add butter, honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar; whisk until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and coat it in the honey butter sauce.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving hot.

Notes

Consider marinating chicken for enhanced flavor. Serve with steamed rice, coleslaw, or garlic bread for a complete meal.
