- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes or your choice of sides.

- For added flavor, you can include herbs like thyme or parsley.
- Make sure not to overcook the patties to keep them juicy.
