- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (for rosemary crackers)
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (for cheese crackers)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for garlic crackers)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for sesame crackers)
Instructions
- Combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a mixing bowl.
- Blend in 1/4 cup of olive oil until crumbly.
- Pour in 1/2 cup water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough gently to a smooth ball.
- Divide the dough into four equal portions.
- Add desired flavorings to each portion: for rosemary, knead in 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary; for cheese, mix in 1/2 cup grated cheddar; for garlic, stir in 1 teaspoon garlic powder; for sesame, mix in 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out each portion to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the rolled dough into shapes.
- Transfer the shapes to a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Experiment with different herbs or spices for custom flavors.
