Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (for rosemary crackers)
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (for cheese crackers)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for garlic crackers)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for sesame crackers)

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Blend in 1/4 cup of olive oil until crumbly.
  3. Pour in 1/2 cup water, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough gently to a smooth ball.
  5. Divide the dough into four equal portions.
  6. Add desired flavorings to each portion: for rosemary, knead in 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary; for cheese, mix in 1/2 cup grated cheddar; for garlic, stir in 1 teaspoon garlic powder; for sesame, mix in 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Roll out each portion to about 1/8 inch thick.
  9. Cut the rolled dough into shapes.
  10. Transfer the shapes to a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  12. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing.
