Deliciously soft and chewy sugar cookies infused with fresh strawberries and topped with a strawberry glaze.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons strawberry puree (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Stir in the strawberry puree until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with strawberry puree until smooth and drizzle over cooled cookies.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, add more strawberry puree to the dough.
- These cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
