- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are golden brown.
- Stir in the turmeric, cumin seeds, coriander powder, and red chili powder, cooking for another minute.
- Add the cubed potatoes and mix well to coat them with the spices.
- Pour in the water and season with salt. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 20-25 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
