- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture all over the chicken drumsticks.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the skillet and brown them on all sides.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- While the chicken is baking, rinse the rice under cold water. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add the rice, and cook according to package instructions.
- Serve the creamy paprika chicken drumsticks over the steamed rice.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or peas to the rice for added nutrition.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
