Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Roll out the dough and fit it into a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  6. Stir in chopped pecans and pour the mixture into the baked tart shell.
  7. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or until set. Let cool before serving.
