A rich and indulgent chocolate pecan tart that combines the flavors of chocolate and pecans in a buttery crust.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
- Stir in chopped pecans and pour the mixture into the baked tart shell.
- Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or until set. Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added indulgence.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
