- 1 cup store-bought caramel sauce
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup toffee bits
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, then beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Carefully stir in boiling water to create a thin batter.
- Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack; layer the cakes with caramel sauce in between.
- Garnish the top with toffee bits and chocolate chips before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you may substitute vegetable oil with melted butter. Consider adding a layer of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
