- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Divide the meat mixture in half and shape one half into a loaf on a baking sheet.
- Make a well in the center of the loaf and fill it with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the cheese with the remaining meat mixture, sealing it well.
- Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped onions and bell peppers to the meat mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
