- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add chopped mushrooms and cook until softened.
- In a bowl, mix the sautéed mushrooms, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Cut a pocket in each chicken breast and stuff with the mushroom mixture.
- Place stuffed chicken breasts in a baking dish and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
