- 1 cup crushed crackers
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine crab meat, crushed crackers, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For best results, chill the crab cake mixture for 30 minutes before forming patties.
