- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage or bacon (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease your 12-inch ovenproof skillet or pizza pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, melted butter, salt, and black pepper, mixing until uniformly moistened.
- Press the hash brown mixture firmly into the prepared pan, creating a cohesive crust.
- Bake the crust for 20 to 25 minutes until golden-brown and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and top with shredded cheddar cheese and optional sausage or bacon, bell pepper, and green onions.
- Gently create four wells in the topping and crack an egg into each well. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes until the egg whites are set.
- Allow to cool for 3 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
