Description

A vibrant and refreshing drink made with ripe mangoes, lime, chamoy, and spicy notes, perfect for summer.


Ingredients

  • 2 large limes
  • 2 pounds frozen mangoes
  • 23 cups water
  • ¼ cup cane sugar
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 fresh mangoes, cubed
  • ½ cup chamoy
  • 24 tablespoons chile-lime salt
  • 6 tamarind candy straws

Instructions

  1. Prepare the garnishes: Peel and cube the fresh mangoes. In one shallow bowl, add a few tablespoons of chile-lime salt and in another, pour in chamoy for dipping.
  2. Blend the base: Squeeze the juice of the limes into a high-speed blender. Add the frozen mango chunks, water, cane sugar, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
  3. Rim your glasses: Dip the edges of your glasses into chamoy and then into the chile-lime salt.
  4. Layer your creation: Drizzle chamoy in the bottom of the glasses, pour in the mango mixture, top with additional chamoy, and finish with fresh mango cubes.
  5. Final touches: Garnish with drizzled chamoy, a sprinkle of Tajin, and insert tamarind candy straws. Enjoy!

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for best flavor and chill all ingredients prior to blending for a refreshing drink.
