A delicious and hearty pasta bake that combines the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger with pasta, making it a family favorite.

- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add ground beef, onion, and garlic; cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Add the cooked macaroni and half of the bacon to the beef mixture; stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with remaining bacon, and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite burger toppings like pickles or tomatoes.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
