- 2 large apples
- 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and core the apples.
- Wrap each apple in a crescent roll dough.
- Place the wrapped apples in a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and cinnamon; bring to a boil.
- Pour the sugar mixture over the wrapped apples.
- Dot with butter on top of each dumpling.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins inside the apples for added flavor.
