- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine diced apples, caramel sauce, and cinnamon.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with extra caramel sauce for drizzling.
- Can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
