- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup flour (or chickpea flour for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Pulse until a coarse mixture forms.
- Add flour and pulse again until combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the falafel with olive oil and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the falafel cooks, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini, lemon juice, garlic, water, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
- Serve the falafel warm with tahini sauce drizzled on top.

- For extra flavor, add spices like paprika or cayenne pepper to the falafel mixture.
- Serve with pita bread and fresh vegetables for a complete meal.
